Jobs in the Creative Industries.

My letter of application to Disney would be:

Dear Employer,

I am writing to you to apply for the role as a cast member (Disney Princess) at your theme park. My name is Grace Brandon, I'm 17 years of age, and I am caucasian. This gives me a wide range of Princesses to portray and being a great lover of all Disney Animation to be given a role as any Princess would be a great honour, because as a young child, going to Disney world was such an experience and meeting the Characters was the highlight of the holiday.
As a performer, I see this as a real opportunity and  dream come true. I am very good with children, and have worked in a few first schools, a very rewarding and confidence building experience.

I am trained in singing, dancing and acting at a very skilled level, which is what is ideal for any Disney character. This is reflected in my achievements of getting a Distinction* in my Performing Arts Level 3 Diploma. My peers would describe me as a hard working, confident and approachable person , which are the characteristics required for a role like this one.

Thank you for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon.
Kind Regards,
Grace Brandon

My application letter to a Front of House job would be:

Dear Employer,
I would like to apply for the front of house position at your theatre, which a saw an advertisement for in my local newspaper. I have many years of experience with working in the performance arts industry being involved in many production, on stage and back stage. I am familiar with the professionalism everyone must have in order for a production to run as smooth as possible, and are familiar with health and safety rules of the theatre. All this knowledge I have gained is reflected in my achievements academically.

As well as having knowledge about the basics of the theatre, I also have experience with some of the technology used in productions, such as mics, sound and lighting -  as I have also worked backstage in productions including a National Theatre's Connections production.

I understand that a Front of House role also requires customer service skills. I have gained a lot of customer service experience working in the clothing department of Tesco's in Shoreham, where I work on the clothing desk, dealing with buys, returns, exchanges, angry customers and broken clothing. I handle all these situations very professionally and swiftly, and built up good work ethic.

Thank you for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Yours Faithfully,
Grace Brandon.
